Baby Dracula Plays the Glockenspiel
A castle. Like, an eerie one.
An infant boy with a prominent widow's peak drums a mallet onto a rainbow-colored glockenspiel.
-Could you stop for a minute, honey. Mommy's on the phone.
The boy continues playing a rough rendition of "Mary had a Little Lamb."
-Now, honey.
He begins to play louder.
-Hold on a sec. She clamps her hand over the receiver on the phone. I really need you to stop for just one minute, please.
He locks eyes with her. Plays louder. Bares pair of pronounced canine teeth.
-I'll have to call you back. Ends call. Stares back at infant boy.
Begins bashing glockenspiel erratically. Piercing sound.
-Now, in this house. Approaches boy. Bends down. Snatches mallet away from him. You need to learn to listen!
Sobbing. Uncontrollable sobbing.
She places the mallet on a high shelf. Proceeds to cabinet to retrieve a glass and a bottle. She pours a generous glass of blood. Drinks.
